Guidelines and Nomination Form

Two documents have been prepared to provide you with:

1. Guidelines concerning the Clan Sutherland Young Citizen Award and

2. Nomination Form.

Please initially read the Guidelines to ensure that the young person has the appropriate age and that the nomination has the permission of their parent, guardian or carer.

You can obtain word versions of each of the two documents by clicking on the links below.

Please download the Nomination Form to your computer and then type the requested information onto the form, ensuring that all details are complete.    Please note that on page 2 you are invited to attach information about the nominated person which demonstrates evidence of 'good citizenship' related to this nomination.  The nomination should be associated with current activities of the nominee, and should state how the young person is actively engaged in 'acts of citizenship'.  You are welcome to provide this information on a separate page.  If appropriate, please tick the box to show that you are using a separate page.  The nomination should then be sent by email to: mark@clansutherland.org.uk as indicated on the nomination form.

We are delighted that you have chosen to participate in this scheme.  Please note that the winner of this year's award will receive a certificate and a prize of £300 at a ceremony at Dunrobin Castle.  One half of the prize (an Amazon voucher for £150) is for the recipient and the other half for a local Sutherland charity of the recipient's choice.  The recipient will need to supply information as to which Charity the prize cheque should be made out to, in advance of the Award ceremony.

with best wishes from the Council of the Clan Sutherland Society in Scotland
